Back To School     A Phrasal Verb Story

Back to School, a phrasal verb story is a little story using a lot of phrasal verbs that we use every day.

1) Read the story and see if you can understand what is the story is about.

I was lying in my nice warm bed half asleep when I suddenly heard mum saying, have you got up yet. Oh no!! I had forgotten it was Monday and I was back to school today. I leapt out of bed, pulled on my clothes, and ran to the kitchen. I gulped down some breakfast and looked for my shoes and bag. My mum was saying I’d better hurry up, or the bus will take off without me. At the door, my mum handed over my coat and told me to put it on as it was cold. I ran out the door and down to the bus stop. I arrived just as the bus was pulling up. I got on the bus and sat down, tired out before I had even got to school.

At the end of the lesson plan are all the phrasal verbs and their meaning.
